Service We Provide

The majority of our work lies in landscape design from sketch and detailed design to the production of construction drawings and detailed specifications.

DWA also produce landscape management, landscape consultancy and landscape assessments services.

Over the years our projects have taken us right across Scotland and beyond working with a wide range of clients including large scale commercial developers, private home owners, enthusiastic and committed community representatives, and professional public officials.

We have also developed our portfolio working with Local Authorities, with significant projects carried out with North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, East Ayrshire, Aberdeenshire and Fife Councils.   Landscape Assessment- DWA is regularly involved in landscape assessment in the form of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) looking at all potential impacts a proposed development would have upon the landscape and surrounding area.

The practice has carried out over a hundred studies and has developed a robust methodology. These involve the detailed analysis of the landscape character, conservation status, visual impact, and environmental and planning policy. Contract supervision-The ultimate result of the design of our work is to see it realised on the ground.

In landscape led projects such as this we have often acted in the role of project manager and contract administrator overseeing the construction phase through to completion. Landscape Management-We can provide landscape management strategies which can ensure longevity and save money in the long term. DWA also provide advice in the form of landscape Consultancy. Either on an informal basis to our clients which we find brings the rewards of good relations and repeat business or we produce reports on issues to give reassurance or comfort to our clients.
